Association de droit monégasque à but non lucratif, l’Opéra de Monte-Carlo compte environ 25 salariés permanents, un cadre de chœur de 40 chanteurs embauchés à la saison selon les besoins des productions, un orchestre en résidence (Les Musiciens du Prince-Monaco) qui présente une saison de concerts et d’opéras en Principauté entre octobre et mars, et se produit tout au long de l’année à l’étranger. Tournée vers tous les publics, l’Opéra de Monte-Carlo est dirigé depuis le 1er janvier 2023 par Madame Cecilia Bartoli. Ses projets artistiques ambitieux et l’excellence recherchée à tous les niveaux, font de l’Opéra de Monte-Carlo un acteur majeur de la scène lyrique internationale.
COMMUNICATION & MARKETING DEPARTMENT INTERNSHIP
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Within the Communications Department, reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing, the intern will support the Communications Officers and assist them in implementing initiatives related to the preparation of the season and the tours of the orchestra Les Musiciens du Prince – Monaco.
This placement will enable the intern to gain practical experience in communications within an international cultural institution, by participating in communications activities, content production and event organisation.
To this end, they will participate in, including but not limited to:
Social media and website management:
- Helping to draw up editorial calendars for the Opéra de Monte-Carlo and Les Musiciens du Prince – Monaco accounts;
- Taking part in community management and moderation;
- Creating content: photos and videos for stories and posts;
- Regularly monitoring social media;
- Helping to update and manage website content.
Development and monitoring of various logistical resources:
- Help monitor the communications plan;
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of service provider schedules.
Press review:
- Help monitor and categorise the press review;
- Monitor media coverage of topics of interest to the organisation.
Various support tasks:
- Provides administrative support (tracking purchase orders, requesting quotes, etc.);
- Helping to organise various projects (internal communications, educational projects, events, etc.) and ensuring they run smoothly;
- Contributing to the creation of communication materials (newsletters, etc.);
- Carrying out any other communication-related tasks as required by the team (updating lists, data, drafting content, etc.).
PROFILE:
- Higher education in communication and/or marketing (minimum two years’ higher education);
- Training in project management;
- Excellent creative and writing skills (impeccable spelling), with the ability to summarise information effectively;
- Good knowledge of social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn);
- Ability to work in a team and manage several projects simultaneously;
- Strong organisational skills and a high degree of rigour;
- Proficiency in new information and communication technologies;
- Proficiency in office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Knowledge of Adobe software (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc.) and/or Canva would be an advantage;
- Fluent in French and English;
- Interest in music, opera and the performing arts.

- Duration of the internship: maximum 6 months (to be determined according to the internship agreement).
- Internship to be filled as soon as possible.
- Location of the internship: at the Monte-Carlo Opera
- Weekly working hours: maximum 39 hours; the intern will be entitled to two days off per week (evening work may be required, as well as work on Saturdays and Sundays as needed).
